This lubricant anti-wear tester is specially customized for lubricants and additives companies. It’s made according to the test principle of the US ring block tester (Timken tester) and has simplified the design of main functions. It strives for simple operation, reliable performance and fast performance. Visually reflects the anti-wear and anti-friction performance of lubricants. This lubricating oil anti-wear tester adopts an integrated design to effectively reduce vibration and noise during work. Its main working parts are composed of a friction ring rotating with the main shaft and friction steel balls pressed on the friction steel ring. Under the conditions of different pressure, sliding friction occurs between the friction steel ring and the friction steel ball.
1)Firstly connect the 220V power supply, press the power switch to run the motor, use the oil and stone strips provided with the oil to rub the friction steel ring thoroughly and clean the friction steel ring, and then turn off the power. Put the friction steel ball in the short lever groove of the testing machine and fix it.
2)Select a kind of lubricating oil and put it into the oil box (it is better to immerse the grinding wheel 3-5 mm), install the oil box and long lever on the machine.
3)Start the motor, run it first, and then add weight load blocks to the end of the long lever one by one (about every 5 seconds), record the number of weights, observe and record current or temperature values until the grinding wheel stops.Then quickly turn off the power and remove the weight. Remove the short lever and observe the wear scar depth, wear scar area, and wear scar roughness of the cylindrical grinding block.
4)The better abrasion resistance, the more weights to be added , the smaller the area of the elliptical wear scar on cylindrical module, and the higher the finish of the wear scar. Based on this, it can be comprehensively compared with other test oil samples, and the comparison effect is generally clear. Note: It is also possible to stop the motor from grinding during the test. At this time, you can check the current value according to the same weight, and determine the performance of the lubricant by combining the depth and area of the wear scar.
5)If you want to do the anti-wear test after a certain kind of anti-wear additive is mixed with lubricating oil, inject the anti-wearing agent into the oil box according to a certain addition ratio, mix with the original lubricating oil, stir well, install the oil box, and repeat the above experimental process.
